Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 50th Conference of The Israeli Polymers and Plastics Society, which will take place on July 2, 2024 at EXPO Tel-Aviv, Israel
Our prime motivation for this meeting stems from the recognition that polymers have become a focal point of basic and applicable research worldwide. In Israel, many groups in the scientific and industrial communities have been researching different aspects of polymers. From the very basic properties of polymers, biopolymers and composites through properties variation using functionalization and other manipulations to polymers within the plastic industry and medical or biological applications. Much of the research focuses on biopolymers and their conversion to products leading us to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
The program includes international keynote speakers, 8 sessions focusing on different angles in polymer research and applications and speakers and poster sessions from all Israeli academia and industry. The meeting aims to bring together basic and applicative researchers from different disciplines to discuss the major topics of interest in an informal atmosphere thereby encouraging the formation of interdisciplinary collaborations and larger team efforts.
